Emily Sarsam is a Tunis based artist, researcher and cultural programmer who works with diverse mediums such as sound, food, fiction & poetry, performance, independent publishing, and creative learning. She is especially interested in the politics of olive oil, commoning practices in rural and agricultural contexts, and the impacts of colonialism on farming, food systems and eating habits. She also develops and facilitates creative and embodied methods for learning and mediation within the arts in the form of workshops, colearning programs and residencies. She holds a BA in Middle Eastern Studies from Vienna and pursued a Masters at SOAS in Music development.
